Pulp Fiction Easter Egg - The Marquee for the Fight

The Marquee for Butch's fight reads "Coolege Vs. Wilson". They were presidential candidates in the same race. That race was once called "The battle of the titans", which also appears on the marquee. The smaller marquee names, are two of Tarantino's friends he once worked with at a video store.

I always thought a mullet was long hair in the back but short spikey hair on top of the head. Thus suggesting that John Travolta does not have a mullet. Maybe we should fear the ignorance.

while I agree that the mullett is the most powerful force in our universe and should be feared, I'm afraid John Travolta's hair in PF is hardly a mullett. Travolta's hair is long all the way around and slicked back from his forehead. Mulletts, aka Shlong (Short-Long), The Cape, The Lobo, Achy-Breaky Hair, or the 10/90 (10% on top, 90% in back), feature short hair on top and sides and long hair starting about 1/2 way down the back of the head. I live in Kentucky, I KNOW a mullett when I see one... :) Who has the Ultimate Mullett? Michael Bolton.

You are all partly correct, I believe he has a hybrid-mullet in the movie much like the rat-tailmullet. http://www.mulletsgalore.com Funniest site on the NET.

Umm, Wilson ran against Roosevelt and Taft (1912) and Hughes (1916); Coolidge ran against Davis and LaFollette (1924). There was no Wilson v. Coolidge presidential race.

I haven't seen the movie in a couple months, but I do believe that John Travolta just has long hair slicked back. A mullet is short in the front and long in the back. Therefore, it is NOT a mullet.

He hasn't got a mullet. It's long-ish hair in a mini-pony tail. If you want to see a REAL mullet then look up any of the West German football (soccer) players from the past 30 years.
