Star Trek Easter Egg - Capt. Frasier Crane?

Peter David slipped in a tricky one here.
In the book, Sulu turns down a posting to a ship so that he can spend more time with his daughter. The ship is called the Bozeman and the capt. is named Bateson.
(This ship and captain showed up in a ST:TNG episode called Cause and Effect. Bateson was played by Kelsey Grammer, the same actor who plays Frasier Crane on NBC.)
During a conversation between Sulu and Bateson, this occurs:

"Bateson nodded encouragingly. 'Go ahead. I'm listening."

...Frasier Crane's signiture line on his radio call-in show!

That was a great episode, kind of a "Groundhog Day" feel. The coolest thing about that episode was the fact I was watching it in Bozeman, MT!!

LOL! "Fraiser" was the Captain there, because the show Fraiser (Or cheers, I forgot) was produced at the same lot as Star Trek. So why not? The actor was just next door! lol. I liked the quote, though, :P
