wopps! dam! got a few buttons wrong! here is the correct procedure: 1. press POWER to turn drawer on 2. Press and hold (at the same time) both the POWER and ECO buttons for a few seconds 3. a five minuite demonstration wash cycle will come on 4. press POWER again to put unit on standby, all the LCD segments will start flashing (and light up) 5. press and hold START/PAUSE for a few seconds to hear tune, do the same again to hear the Star Spgled Banner (why that tune I don't know, cos F&P is a New Zealand company) 6. to reset pull out power cord/ disconnect power supply

This did not work for me... when I do this nothing happens at all. Do you need a certain model of dishwasher?

THIS WORKS! YOU MUST HAVE THE MODEL WITH THE DISPLAY SCREEN! i have a white two draw one and it works but do not run the 5 minute wash cycle it only goes half way through and stops so you have a dishwasher half full of water- how does that benifit anyone? you must dishconect the power for about 20 seconds as the have some sort of battery that keeps the draws going for 10 seconds and keeps its memory for 10 minutes in case of power cuts or surges

OK, on the two-drawer, open a drawer, any drawer, and look at the wash intensity/economicality buttons. Now press them, one at a time, alternating between the two, at even timing. Coooooooool.

Awwww, no fair. My F&P dishwasher dosen't have an LCD screen. I have the version where you can put a front on that matches the surrounding cabnets, the sound I get when I open it up is an egg enough for me
