Reality Bites Easter Egg - Winona's Love Interest (at the Time)

There is a scene in Reality Bites in which Lelaina (Winona Ryder) is talking on the phone. Behind her is a long-haired blonde guy reading a magazine. He doesn't really have a speaking part, other than to laugh and grunt 'yeah'. The blonde guy is David Pirner from Soul Asylum. Winona and David were dating when Reality Bites was filmed.
