Welcome to the Jungle (Guns N Roses) Easter Egg - video in a video

that seems strange.. being that the song patience was made after welcome to the jungle..

Patience and Welcome to the Jungle were both written and performed before GnR signed with Geffen... the videos were shot at the same time so that they wouldn't have to stop touring one AFD was released.

just because the song was not released until 1988 doesn't mean it didn't exist in 1987. The songs are made before being released... Fool... there for the video could have been in production well before it was released to the public... have a good day.

Shots of the Patience video do not appear in the Welcome to the Jungle video as far as I can tell. There are some shots of news footage and of riots and stuff on the TVs. Then at the end, Axl is shown on the street watching footage of himself for earlier in the video when he's strapped in the chair on some TVs in a TV store. But yes, in the Patience video he does watch the WTTJ video.

Yeah, I think you got his backwards. I think he watches the "Welcome to the Jungle" video in the "Patience" video. Is Axl ever even IN bed in the WTTJ video?

Do you know that in the begining of the Vídeo, A dealer tries to sell something to axl, right after he steps out of the bus, Who is the dealer? Answer: Izzy Stradlin. At the same time axl looks to a chicks ass, Who is the chick? Answer: Michelle Hamrick. The one from "My Michelle."

He is sitting on the end of a bed and Steven Adler, GnFnR's first drummer and i think Duff are lying in bed with a couple of girls watching Axl watch news coverage of riots and things of that nature. Every member had a part in the video besides performing. Some just are more obvious then others. In example Slash can be seen sitting in front of the electronic store drinking, what else, Jack Daniels. Quick note about Axl's poofy hair. He did that just for the shoot of the video. When asked by Nigel Dick, the director, why he replied ,"So people will wonder 'Whats up with his hair?'". To this day many people ask that question. Axl, once again, creates an enigma.

Axl watches the "Welcome to the Jungle" video in "Patience", but he in WTTJ he is only watching random clips & news type footage, not the "Patience" video - they were shot 18 months apart, according to the following notes from the Band History on the unofficial site, http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com: August 1st, 1987 - GN'R's first video, "Welcome To The Jungle", is shot at Park Plaza & 450 S. La Brea, Hollywood. August 2nd, 1987 - Second day of the "Jungle" video shoot. February 18th, 1989 - The "Patience" video, which was the only one from "GN'R Lies", is shot at The Record Plant and at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles on 18th and 19th. There are actually two versions of the 'Axl watches TV in the hotel scene' in WTTJ. In the original uncensored versions, the TV shows an overhead shot of several dead bodies lieing on the ground, which was also visible on one of the TVs in the last shot of the video. A censored version was released without this footage, with the last shot also being changed to show only one TV (straight-jacketed Axl screaming). I've only seen these videos on music TV, so I am not sure which version is on the DVD?

sry this doesn't really have to do with patience, but it's also interesting. about halfway through the video when axl screams yeaaaaa!! he's on his knees. a shot from the front shows hes wearing a shirt. suddenly for only about a second there's a shot from the back and his back is bare (no shirt). it then goes to the front again and his shirts back on. obviously different takes that got mixed together

at the end of the patience music video axl is watching clips from two other music videos, one is WTTJ. WHAT IS THE OTHER MUSIC VIDEO?
