crippledbovine is right. It's not a bookshelf. I think it's a little round thing that looks like it's made out of bamboo or something. Then you just tell your sim to look at it & it will pop up!

The actual name of the object is the "Jungle Jumble Import Display" and is in the decorations section.

Yes, I've done this..... the trick is that all the people living in the house have to be in a GREAT mood at the time of viewing.... this should help.. and of course, there is a cheat to increase their moods, but that's not an easter egg.
