Command and Conquer Easter Egg - Biblical Background

Open up the instruction manual to the page right after the table of contents, the one with the fire that has the quote from Kane. The last line says "(Global Net Interpol, file #GEN4:16)". That "#GEN4:16" actually refers to Genesis 4:16 from the Bible. That explains where they got the idea for Kane and the Brotherhood of Nod.

Most of the Brotherhood of NOD is from the Bible- the Land of Nod was where Cain was banished after he KILLED HIS BROTHER Abel. But some of it is from Ancient Egypt. According to their religion, there was a god named Seth, who KILLED HIS BROTHER Osiris. In the first six missions, another man gives you your mission briefing. "I am Seth. Just... Seth. From God, to Kane, to Seth. I am his right hand."

Actually Seth is Cain's son (not that it matters).

Wait, sorry. I probably got that wrong, Seth was Cain's other brother. Not Abel, because if they had another brother, plus Cain's other brother, there'd be another other brother to be Abel's other brother. Then their mother would have four sons, each of which would have three brothers. That'd make two other brothers for each other brother to have. What am I talking about now?...

Both Abel and Seth were Cain's brothers. Cain killed Abel.

Seth wasn't Cain's older brother, he was his younger brother, coming many years later. Eve named his Seth because it means "granted", because she said God had granted her a son in place of Abel, who Cain had killed.

Nobody said that Seth was older than Cain. I said he was the OTHER brother of Cain.

GDI killed Kane. Right? Wrong. Kane was healed with Tiberium and changed into a mutant. In "Firestorm", both GDI and NOD try to kill CABAL, who has betrayed NOD. I have never actually seen Kane die in the entire Command and Conquer series.

Actually, if you play to the end of Tiberium Sun, you MIGHT see Kane die.. The GDi commander impales him with a steel rod but hey, Kane may live through that anyway...

The above answer is right except.... OK, Kane did die in one of the C&C series, he dies in the firestorm expansion pack for tiberian sun because the commander guy stabs him with a stick of tiberium!

Sorry I meant in normal tiberian sun (not expansion) kane dies if you win as GDI, which is why Kane is not in Firestorm and they resurrect CABAL to give them advice...

When you finish the Soviet campaign in Red Alert (1), Nadia explains to you that she's actually a Nod agent, and then reads the biblical reference to Kane and Nod.

Gen. 4: Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain...Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel...Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him...So now you are cursed...whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold...Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. 17And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch...And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth.(NKJV) That should clear up any confusion.

Hamden - Sam's House - you hear a pigman's voice saying "DADDY SCREAMED REAL GOOD" and red beady eyes pop up. Then there is supposedly dead silence on the phone only to hear, WHATCHU DOIN ASIA!? The little boy by the name of Julian committed suicide after seeing the pigman so now he haunts with him screaming.
