MajorasMask Easter Egg - Flash of the Past

To get to the area that this egg is in you must go to zora hall. Once in zora hall you go to a band members room(any of them except Lulu's). Depending on wich band member you went to you will hear a tune from one of the Zeldas that came before Majoras mask. In the drummers room you will hear the drum beat from A Link To The Past when your in a cave. In the base guitars room you will hear the music from the first zelda(no special name) when your in a dungeon. In the piano players room you will hear the music from the first zelda after you have died and you see a menu before you. My brother and I found this quite entertaining.

Also a well known fact, that many areas in the game use music from various other LOZ games...Just open your ears and your memory and you will fill as if you have returned home.

Yeah, go to Termina field and the original Zelda theme tune is playing. The song of storms guy turns up too, playing the same song, as well as the need to play the song of time to go back in time. As you said, if you just look around you'll find loads of Zelda tunes!

In the milk bar when you play music as Zora, goron and deku link you play the Ballard of the wind fish. If you have played the gameboy zelda game, links awakening i think, you will know that it is on of the ocarina songs that you get.

Actually, if you listen to the Ballad of the Wind Fish in Link's Awakening you will see that it is different from that in Majora's Mask.

Weird isn't it on the Ballad of Wind Fish? Makes you wonder why on earth would they change the tune? Also you can find a reference to the "Dolphin Project" which is the new GameCube Nintendo is making in the Astronomy Room that is on the floor by breaking the pots there!

The Windmill Guy in Majora's Mask (originally Ocarina of Time) is in fact Guru-Guru here. Perhaps this is the same guy? I really don't think it is anyway, because I think Mr. Windmill Guy was stuck in that Windmill. Guru-Guru does have the same quick temper as Windmill Guy, but you find him in exactly the same spot in Ocarina of Time, when older and younger.

Sting Ray, there are alot of characters on the game like that. They are not the same person, just look the same so the creators wouldn't have to make new characters.

Some characters are the same because Termina is an alternate version of Hyrule, like a parallel dimension. Almost all of the characters from Ocarina of Time are in the game, although I was a bit disappointed there are not any alternate Kokiri or an alternate Gannondorf.

I noticed one thing, and i don't know if I am crazy. If Termina {where the adventure is} is a up-side down version of Hryule {from Ocarina of Time} then why does everyone have pointy ears? In Ocarina everyone had pointy ears. So what is going on? You can e-mail me if you want on this.

AshleyCox you forgot about Zelda's bodyguard when she is a kid, {Her name forgets me} and Shriek who you meet in the Temple of Time or the Temple of Light.

Zelda's bodyguard is Impa, but Sheik was really Zelda in disguise, so I'm not too surprised he wasn't in it. There were early rumors that there was to be an evil version of Navi, but that must have been dropped as Tatl and Tael aren't evil really. Another interesting thing is that a lot of the areas in Majora's Mask are similar to ones in Ocarina of Time (Termina field/Hyrule field, Snowhead mountain/Death mountain, Woods of Mystery/Lost Woods)

Get this my sister thought Woodfall when you look at it from outside the swamp is was Death Mountain and Kakariko Village was right next to it. Hey what happened to Saria, the rest of the Korki, Daurnia, and Rariau{the Sage of Light}?

okay, I am a HHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE nintendo fan so let me clear this up. First of all, the only thing Link's Awakening's Ballad of the Wind Fish and the Majora one is the name. Also, Termina is a parralel universe to Hyrule, so not everything's a complete opposite, but a lot of the things are the same. It's not because nintendo didn't want to make new characters, it's because it's an alternate universe. As for the "classic Zelda theme" in Termina Field, that's the Zelda overworld theme and is in every single zelda game except Ocarina of Time. It's even the Hyrule Castle theme in Super Smash Bros.! Don't go searching for answers to questions you don't understand.

Unknown, the only reason why they use the same characters is that they don't really want to go through the process of making characters and models and textures, and dialog, and the like.

Revolver, they did that because the story. Instead of making a new engine from scratch, they just used the same characters and made some new ones based on the story that was created.

If you wait to the end of the credits, you will see a picture on a stump of the Skull Kid, Link, Tatl, Tael, and the four Giants. Then, wait, and you will hear the first 16 notes of Saria's Song! (For those who don't know, the Skull Kid makes the remark that Link... "Smells like the kid who taught him that nice song," meaning Saria's song in the lost woods.) (He is also the one you gave the mask to to make his friends think he was scary... Big "coincidence.")

Also, two things people seem to be completely ignorant of... 1st: For the stories, the "Oath to Order" is the song the people were to sing, (you play it, but same/difference.) to call the giants in times of need (Like a giant falling, fake moon.) the other story says they were to call the giants if they were: "Being swallowed by the sea;" or, "buried under mounds of... snow." It also said that the Giants had an imp as a friend, (the Skull Kid, for those who haven't caught on yet, like Tatl.) He tells the fairies that his friends left him, (just like the giants left the imp in the story, see the pattern?) Then, the giants say to "Help their friend, (the Skull Kid,) and tell you to, "Forgive your Friend." (You do this at the end of the game, of course.) 2nd: The "tree" you encounter in the Woods of Mystery was, in fact, the butler from the Deku Palace's son. four things give this away, being... 2nd A: The Skull Kid used Majora's Mask to steal a Deku Scrub's soul and curse you with it, (The curse being you are not used to this body, along with the down side of not being able to carry a weapon, and therefore not be able to leave Clock Town.) Meaning, he had to get it from somewhere. 2nd B: According to Tatl, "The way you look like right now sort of looks like this tree (the son). It looks like it could start crying any second now, how sad." 2nd C: The butler says, "I don't know why, but when I race you, I feel like I am racing my son again." (For one thing, his son left home a while ago, which proves that the meaning of this fact is that you have the son's spirit. Don't worry if you don't get it yet, this next part will make it abundantly clear.) Last and most clearly the reason why the "tree" is the son of the butler is that... 2nd D: The butler is seen crying in front of the "tree" in the final cut scene: "Dawn of a New Day."
