Empty Spaces (Pink Floyd) Easter Egg - Man Talking Backwards

If you play the first part of the song backwards, you can hear someone saying "Congratulations. You have just discovered the secret message. Please send your answer to Old Pink, care of the Funny Farm, Chalfont."
This maybe a refrence to Syd Barrett, maybe not.

According to Roger Waters in the commentary on The Wall DVD, most of the album Wish You Were Here (Shine On, Have A Cigar) is about Syd.

and a huge chunk of The Wall is about Syd too. It's a combo of Syd and Roger. Thanks for filling me in on the back-tracking. I knew it said Congratulations, You've found the message but could never make out the rest.

If you listen on backwars you hear the words "Roger, Caroline is on the phone". This is actually put in to symbolise that people are trying to contact Pink but through his own insanity he doesn't notice. I'm from a Pink Floyd tribute band by the way (just thought I'd mention it :-)

It is true that most of Wish you were here is about Syd, but the song Wish you were here is not. He said this several months ago in an interview.

Listen carefully at the beginning and the end of "The Wall" CD. The beginning says "We came in". The end of the CD says "So this is where". It's very quite, so listen hard, peace.

If you look in the manual for the album "Echoes", if you go to the section with the Lyrics to Shine on you Crazy Diamondsyou can see a picture of Syd.
