In the Main Menu of the first disc, highlight the Scene Selections, then "Jump to Left..." Oops, sorry, I got carried away. Press the left arrow. Lips will appear. Now press Enter. On the next screen you will see two hidden items. Play movie is the Third Version of the movie with the black/white beginning. There is also a DVD Credits selection.

Ah cool, it works now. I only gets a play movie (which does the black and white) and a "main menu" link - no Credits link. Also (and non-related), I keep having problems with the sound settings. In the special features, I select "Audio Commentary" and switch it on (throw the lever). But then going back to the main menu and selecting play just plays the movie with the normal soundtrack - what am I doing wrong?

This third version can also be found this way: put in the main movie DVD, and once it starts (get to a menu) hit "stop" on your DVD remote. Now, hit "play"... the movie will begin to play in black and white, and you are watching the "third version" of the film.

This worked for me! Huga - Keep in mind that you can only access one special feature at a time - ie. If you are using the 'Theatrical experience' you can't use the audio commentary. Make sure all of them are turned off before trying the Audio Commentary (which is REALLY good)

Whenever I am using one of the flip switch items, I usually push the 'OK' button about 5 times just to make sure. Ok it is really pathetic but it also works. I think I did it once when something kept on refusing to load on. I got upset and just pressed it 70 thousand times and to my delight it worked :D.
