Night Of The Living Dead (1968) Easter Egg - "Barbara...."

"Night of the Living Dead" was filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
-----
At end of this classic, a famous cult figure from western Pennsylvania, the host of legendary "Chiller Theater"; Bill Cardyle plays the "on scene reporter". He would only be recognizable to horror film fans in that area of PA.
-----
I recall when he previewed "Little Shop of Horrors", and apologized for it's cheeziness!!

That's true about Bill Cardyl. He played Chilly Billy on Chiller Theatre on channel 11 in Pittsburgh. But that's not the only reason he appeared in NOTLD. He was also a friend of George Romero, a special effects artist who made NOTLD. Romero also helped out on the set of Chiller Theatre. P.S. I used to hang out and catch frogs in the pond that was in that cemetary used in NOTLD.

This is getting kinda off track, but it was in fact Lori Cardille, Chilly Billy's daughter (I think) who played the female lead in Romero's third 'Dead' film, 'Day of the Dead' (1985). On a separate note, I have never been to Pittsburgh, or anywhere in the US, and I am well aware of who Chilly Billy is!
