Terminator 2 : Ultimate Edition Easter Egg - Special Message from John Connor

While on side 2,bring up the main menu. Move the arrow button until "Data Hub" is highlighted blue. After 30 seconds, the little box in the lower left hand will activate, with either the message "join the resistance" or an odd looking energy circle. Left arrow until the border is lit up and hit enter. If "Join the resistance" is present,it will take you to a special screen with a text message from John Connor and a web link that will take you to a "training site" where you can hone your resistance skills. If the energy circle is present,it will bring up a short 20 or so second commercial showing a bust of Beethoven(or Mozart)with soundwaves going in his left ear, followed by the right side of his face blowing off, revealing a Terminator (T-800) face underneath. It will say "Swelltone-in one ear and out the other". This short commercial can also be activated by pressing "DVD Menu" on your remote control while "Information Systems" is lit up.

Did anyone else notice that the Swell Tone easter egg is also multi-angle?

Hi, I found another cool thing about this particular 'sub-menu' - if you just leave the Data Hub option highlighted, it will go through the 'Join The Resistance' and the weird circle thing, but then eventually, the T-1000's face morphs into the middle of the screen and says 'Get Out!'... its really cool, and I wondered what the hell was going on at first, so I thought I would post it on here and let you lot try it out for yourselves :-)

I tried this one, highlighted the section described and waited over 5 mins but the little square never came to life. Has anyone got any ideas?. I am using the US version in the alloy case. The other eggs all work ok

Odd, it's not working for me either on my US PS2. If I press "DVD Menu" on Information Programs, I'm just taken to the featurette commercial.

That is way cool! At first if you idle it will do the "join the resistance" then if you idle AGAIN it will do the Commercial, then after another 30 seconds.... The "get out" termination thing... WAY COOL!

You can also select the "join the resistance" message differently. 1) Insert side A and go to the character profiles. 2)Press right until you're on the robot's side's head. 3) Highlight DVD-ROM and press enter. Ain't that hard.

if you click on data hub then go back up to the main menu and don't touch anything you have a better chance of getting it

I found another interesting thing while viewing this egg. After you have viewed both of the messages (the "energy circle" and "Join the resistance"), if you leave "Data Hub" highlighted, after about 30 seconds you will see the T-1000 silvery face come out of the center of the screen, and tell you to "get out". It was a little scary, but pretty cool. The face then disapears and you see the ordinary screen again.

I'm trying to get to the 'top secret' web site thing, and it's just not working. I tried it in the PC-Friendly DVD player and in my Creative DVD player but, well, after the second page of John's message, it just takes me back to the menu. I don't see any link...!
