In all of the satr Wars movies so far, at least one character has uttered the phrase "I've got a bad feeling about this." It was made most blatent in this episode when the first words out of Obiwan Kenobi's mouth are "I've got a bad feeling about this."

This happens in most of the "Star Wars" novels, too. My favorite is in "Vector Prime" when Han says, "I've got a-", and his son cuts him off with "Bad feeling about it?"

For the record, can anyone guess what the only other phrase that appears in every Star Wars movie is? :)

"As you wish" comes up a lot too in the movies. (Although I'm not sure it's in them all.)

If I'm not mistaken, that same phrase is in every Indiana Jones movie too.

"You assume too much" is the other line that is uttered in every SW flick.

Actually, "You assume too much" is used twice in Episode 1! The Viceroy says it in the beginning of the flick, and Padmé says it right before the podrace is about to start!

"Dilusions of grandeure" is another common phrase. Han says it to Chewbacca after being unfrozen in ROTJ, and C3PO says it sometime in the corridors at Echo Base in TESB. I'm not sure if anyone says it in either two of the other movies, or at any other point in the aforementioned two.

C3P0 does not say, "Dilusions of grandeure" at the Echo Base. He says it on the Millenium Falcon just before R2D2 fixes the hyperdive.

Hey Chris Dent... "As you wish" was in Princess Bride. I don't know if it was in Star Wars too, but coincidentally the man who made Princess Bride is actually George Lucas's Yoga Trainer. Actually thats B.S. but since I have been seeing quite a bit of that on these sites I thought I would contribute just a little.

Ben tells Luke in A new hope that Vader had, 'delusions of grandeur'. So that line was said in all three of the OT movies, but not in TPM.

"Delusions of Grandeur" was also the title for one of the Han Solo trilogy books... I had to look up the word "grandeur" after seeing the movies, I didn't know what it meant. The first one I noticed was when Han was just "thawed" out of the carbonite, Leia told him Luke was coming, and Han says something to the effect of: "I was out of it for a little while and everyone's getting delusions of grandeur"

Coincidentally, "I have a bad feeling about this..." are the first words in the game Episode 1 the Phantom Menace, PC and Playstation versions alike.

Did it ever occur to you that this is not an egg, but merely a coincidence, seeing as the same person wrote all three movies? The book people probably picked up on it and used it, but I believe that Lucas just writes his movies similarly.

I can't believe no one has suggested "you underestimate the power of..." the dark side, the jedi's, the force, et cetera. seems to me like everybody underestimates everyone else in Star Wars. No one said that Star Wars has the more ORIGINAL writers. That doesn't mean they're not brillant though!

YOU. YOU is a word that appears in every SW movie. Along with THE. And AND. Quite possible FORCE as well. And "I've got a bad feeling about this...". Isn't this just a case of the uninitiated 'feeling' the Dark Side?? Oh, pants, my anorak's showing again...

Actually, "May the force be with you" is used in only two movies, and only twice in the OT. And yes, "You assume too much" was used twice, it's a hint at padme's true identity. The phrase, may the force be with you, is used only in A New Hope. General Jan Doddanna says it to the pilots, and Han says it to Luke before he leaves. all the others are lame rip offs of it like "The force is strong with you" and such. I have a Bad Feeling... there's a phrase we all feel bad about. and "I know" in response to i love you. What's up with that, eh? -Here we are now, Entertainers...

If I remember correctly, "It's not my fault" is used in all the movies at one point or another.
