When Brandon first meets Candace, he asks her name, and she replies "Candace. I hate it though. I'm thinking of changing it." The actress playing Candace had just changed her screen name from Lecy Goranson to Alicia Goranson for this role, her first adult role, which is reflected in her character's comment.

Actually her name was always Alicia. Lecy or however one spells it was short for Alicia. I read about it years ago when she was on *Roseanne*.. The only reason I ever remembered was because we shared the name. Though Im sure she doesnt want to use her childhood nickname anymore..just like that whole *Debbie Gibson now Debra Gibson thing*.. But, anyhow, Alicia was always her name..Lecy was just a nickname.
