Road Trip Easter Egg - Magazine Love

When the boys are on the road, and are forced to stay the night at the hotel because the car blew up, take note of the hotel guy. Actually take note of who is on the cover of the magazine he is reading. It's called Star Photo's or something like that. Anyways, the person on the cover is clearly Drew Barrymore. The magazine is not shown directly to the audience, but someone who is keeping at close eye out for it can easily spot this.
It has been known that Drew and Tom have been dating for quite some time now. I have also heard they may be engaged now. So I guess Tom wanted to get her into the movie somewhere.

The guy reading the magazine at the hotel is Andy Dick, from News Radio. While he is reading the magazine, he is asked if he knows where to get some weed. Consequently, Dick was fired from News Radio for a marijuana problem.

The magazine that Andy Dick is reading is called Celebrity Skin. And actually he is watching Bob Ross on TV and drawing, when Rubin asks for drugs. He is reading the magazine when Kyle's parents come looking for him.

yes that's true, tom and drew were engaged and now are hapily married and living together.

Tom and Drew didn't meet each other until they filmed Charlie's Angels so if Drew is on the magazine i doubt it had anything to do with Tom

The Drew Barrymore thing might be connected to Breckin Meyer, who starred as Josh Parker in the movie. Breckin went to grade school with Drew, and apparently her agent got him his first few acting jobs. See www.imdb.com for more details.

Andy Dick was not fired from NewsRadio for a drug problem. The show was not renewed after its fourth season and the entire cast was out of a job. Andy Dick's extra-curricular activities had nothing to do with his not being on the show anymore.
