Commitments, The Easter Egg - Director Vanity References

The director of "The Commitments", Alan Parker, has several different references in this movie which I didn't catch the first 8 times watching the movie:

- when Jimmy is on the train in the first few minutes of the movie, a kid asks Jimmy if he has the video, the video Jimmy hands the kid is "Mississippi Burning", another Alan Parker movie (you can hear Jimmy say it)

- when the band is getting their photograph taken outside, Mickah sings a line from the movie "Fame", another Alan Parker film

- when Jimmy is showing band members the video of James Brown in the video rental store, there is a full lifesize standing cutout of Alan Parker directing a movie, it stands behind Derek and Outspan

- at the end when Jimmy is talking about what happened to the band members, during Decko's recording session, Alan Parker has a cameo as the "Eejit Record Producer"
