X-Files Easter Egg - Vandals in the X-Files

IN the episode where a young boy can control lightning (don't remember number), every shirt he wear's is of the band "THE VANDALS". This is because the band and Chris Carter actually hang out! By the way THE VANDALS are a little known punk-rock band who are known for their hilarious lyrics in songs.

At the end of the episode it also plays one of thier songs: Live Fast, Diarrea. Also, in the Vandals CD, 'Live fast, diarrea' they thank the X-files. I assume it is for thier little metioning.

The Vandals are far from little knows. They're one of the more main stream punk bands out there. And I think Vandals shirts have shown up in more than one episode. Or maybe I just saw the one episode more than once and am remembering funny.

Actually Slidget, your use of the term "main stream" is a little off. Punk music in itself is not mainstream. The whole punk scene in itself is more underground than ever now. It's not socially acceptable. I am a huge fan of bands such as The Vandals and Guttermouth, but they're not exactly main stream because their music isn't being killed by the radio stations (thank god). They have an underground following. You won't find them on MTV, which is "main stream". Know what I mean? Just thought I'd add my two cents, even though it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the original topic. Sorry 'bout that, carry on....

The episode is 3x03: D.P.O. Check out Jack Black as DPOs best buddy. He looks so young!

O.K. So as DB said, at the end of this episode, they play one of their songs (Live fast, Diarrea). Also in this episode, the kid wearing the vandals t-shirt, and two of his friends were getting high off of cow manure. It seems that somebody is a little obsessed with poop
