'Sheridan Whiteside' is a pseudonym Morrissey adopted when writing to various UK music magazines (mostly the NME) as a teenager. The name is that of the lead character in George S. Kaufman & Moss Hart's play "The Man Who Came To Dinner"

And probably the most prophetic of them all, in their last single ("Last Night I dreamt that somebody loved me") is the inscription "And Never More Shall Be So"

Not sure if thats really Morissey? Mastering engineers have been known to add little words of wisdom to records when they make the cutting plates. Look at a lot of dance 12"s. Are you sure these words came from the man himself?

I've found the best one! On an lp recorded live that I've got (can't remember the name) the inscription is: Would you risk it, for a biscuit? Excellent
