Raimi, Sam Easter Egg - Talk About Yer Nepotism...

Sam inevitably casts his brother Ted in everything he does, sometimes in multiple sequences. You can see Ted at least three times in Army of Darkness, for instance: he's one of the soldiers that pledges his allegiance to Ash, _and_ he's the S-Mart clerk at the end who works with Ash. Ted also plays a minor thug in Darkman, was a Shemp in Evil Dead 1, played the possessed Henrietta in Evil Dead 2, was going to be a "wedding shemp" in "Quick and the Dead," and has a regular role as Joxer on Raimi's Hercules and Xena series.

Awsome, I knew he used Bruce Campbell in basically every movie or show but didn't notice it about his brother.

Ted's not in A Simple Plan, but he does play a "Gallery Doorman" in For Love of the Game. He's also listed as being in the Spider-Man movie on the IMDB, but that may just be wishful thinking at this point.

It's Bruce Campbell who was "Wedding Shemp"in a cut scene from The Quick and the Dead, not Ted

Actually, on his own website, Bruce says that Ted actually had to audition, and he even showed up on his own, without any prompting from anyone, as far as Bruce knows.

In Army of Darkness Ted plays four roles. Just before Ash does the "Run home and cry to mama" speech, Ted talks about not wanting to die. He's also the "You can count on my steel" guy. Later, Ted battles a skeleton, and of course he's the S-Mart clerk. Ted also appeared with brother Sam in Josh Becker's Thou Shalt Not Kill...Except. Sam, a hammy Mansonian gang leader, kicks Ted, a cronie, in the face for touching the "sacrificial blood."

Ted Raimi is in Spider-Man 1 & 2 as one of office staff for the editor. He's not Dr. Connors. Sam Raimi's hand is the one that shoves Tobey Maguire out onto the gangway in Spider-Man.

in his new movie, The Grudge, which Raimi produced, Ted gets his lower jaw torn off! Also, in Xena: warrior princess (also done by Sam) Ted plays Joxer. One more thing: In The Evil Dead when the trap door that leads to the basement eerily flings open by itself, if you look closly, you can see ted's hand. Its all in the commentaries.

Here's some additional info on the whole Cambell-Raimi-Raimi-triangle: Bruce Cambell used to babysit Ted Raimi. (source: Evil Dead 2 DVD)
