Stand, The Easter Egg - Stephen King Role

Stephen King appears often throughout the films, but the two notable times are when Nadine (Laura San Giacomo) is riding to Mother Abagail's(Ruby Dee). He says "Bad Dreams?" or something like that. The other time is when Stu(Gary Sinise) returns to boulder, he's holding a gun and talking to some other guy. He's also in a church seen, but has no lines. He gets a pretty funny look on his face though, I rewound it about 5 times to watch it. Stephen King also made a cameo in Pet Sematary(He was the minister at a funeral)

King has cameos in a lot of his movies... Just look carefully, as sometimes he's only there for a second!

Actually, Stephen King is in every movie that he made. For example, in the Langoleers (?)he was the head of the meeting. They then switched the camera to the crazy dude and Stepen King was replaced by the crazy dude's father.

He is also in "Silver Bullet" in the scene where Martys sister is in the bushes and hears a man and woman arguing about whose "bun is in the oven". The man is Stephen King.

Not that this has anything to do with this egg, but the guy who is with Stephen King in the snow in Boulder is played by Mike Lookinland....TV's own Bobby Brady!!!

Actually Stephen King is in EVERY movie that he either writes the screenplay for or is directly involved in. If he sold the rights to the movie off, as he did with Christine, IT, Green Mile, ETC..., then he does not always appear in them.

While it's true that King occasionally appears in his own films, this is one of the few in which he's actually had a name! He plays Teddy Weizak--it's mentioned in the credits and Stu greets him as Teddy when he and Tom return. In the novel, though, Weizak was hospitalized from the bomb that Harold planted and he later died from his wounds. Little King trivia for you!

Its not anything special. Alot of writer/directos like to give themselves cameos, or bit parts. Quentin Tarantino, John Waters, Alfred Hitchcock, Gary Marshall, they all do it in one way or another.
