Catch and Release Easter Egg - "37?!?"

So if you're a fan of Kevin Smith's you might notice something in his choice of wardrobe. At least twice in the movie, Kevin is seen wearing different sports jerseys. The number, however, is the same. It's the #37. I'm fairly certain this was thrown in as a reference to the classic line in Clerks.
