Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge Of The Sith Easter Egg - Empire Logo

This egg is at the beginning of the movie when Anakin and Obi-Wan are flying to general grievous' ship. When the camera gets a close up on Anakin's ship, look closely at his right-hand side of his ship next to R2. It's the empire logo!

They weren't technically part of the empire since at that point of the movie Palpatine/Senate didn't declare the republic as an empire. Instead the logo is a Jedi/Republic/pre-empire logo which became the logo for the empire.

Um, I'm not sure what you are trying to prove with the starfighter picture. You say its Imperial but its the Republic symbol. Use zoom.
