Cars Easter Egg - Tribute to Dead Animator
The lead character in the film is called Lightning McQueen, the surname McQueen comes from Head Animator Glenn McQueen who worked at Pixar until 2002 when he died (Finding Nemo is dedicated to him). This is sort of John Lasseter's tribute to him.
