Battlestar Galactica 2004 Easter Egg - Serenity in the Fleet

In the original pilot and in several episodes of the new Battlestar Galactica, amongst the various ships of the fleet, you'll occasionally spot the Firefly Class ship, "Serenity" from the Joss Whedon TV show "Firefly". The agency which handles the optical effects for BSG is the same as "Firefly"'s and no doiubt wound up there aa their own little tribute.

You can also hear the Original Opening Theme of the Classic TV Show. It can be heard playing in the first episode, during the pilot's parade at the Galactica's main hangar bay. By the way, Is this really a remake of the Classic Series, or does this take place after the Galactica people already found the Earth' Civilization?
