Matrix, The Easter Egg - Password for Secret Websites

If you watch the movie right to the end of the credits, you will notice it lists the web site address and then says:
Password: steak

If you go to Whatisthematrix.com and choose the flash version, there will be an interface much like the computers in the ship. Along with the screens, there will be a little keyboard. If you click it, it will bring up a screen that says to enter password or e-mail. If you type in "steak" it will send you to a new web site with really cool stuff, like a song that was made by Foley artists and is really cool!

From there, it gives you a new password "Geof". I've cheated and viewed the source code to the web page and found out all the passwords so here they are:
Geof
Skroce
Darrow
wrong number
guns
morpheus
trinity
déjà vu
Steak
Agentbullettime
Crash
Keanu
Carrie
Laurence
Tokyo

mirror mirror
neo bullet time
SENTINEL

I hope you enjoy!

Also, there are three pages with the computer screen things that you can click on- www.whatisthematrix.com/index1 www.whatisthematrix.com/index2 and www.whatisthematrix.com/index3 1 and 2 are basically the same, but if you go to index3, on one of the computer screens no text comes up, but a green square pops out every once and a while if you hold your cursor over it. If you click on it, it shows a cool clip thing and the same sort of box for the code words comes up, but this time enter your e-mail address. Check your mail in about a day or so and see what shows up.

Just wanted to mention that the codes Geof and Darrow combine into Geof Darrow, a reference to an almost legendary comic book artist who is famed for the hugely detailed work he does. You can spot his stuff in such mainstream hits as Rusty and Big Boy and the alternative offbeat one shot comic, Hardboiled.

Regarding comments stating that the images take quite some time to download, you might consider having a closer look at your DVD copy of The Matrix, if you're lucky enough to have it. All the very same information is on the disc, however it requires maximum patience. Simply by exploring the DVD instead of playing it will reveal hundreds of photos from the movie, hidden pictures and interviews, and many conceptual drawings and comics which are unavailable from the net. Have a look around.

One thing you people are wrong about with Nebuchadnezzar: alot of people are saying Persian or something like that, and in a way they are right, but more specifically he was the king of the Babylonians who wrote their first basic code of law called, appropriately enough, The Code of Nebuchadnezzar. One person said that he led the Medes. I have never heard of this group and if he could elaborate on that, it would be appreciated, as for all I know the Medes were a certain group of Babylonians.

Modern day Persia, is Iran. Babylon is Iraq, I believe. Hammurabi is responsible for the first code of law as I remember. Nebuchadnezzar was a Babylonian king, and mentioned prominently in the Bibles Book of Daniel. I don't think Hammurabi was leader of the Assyrian's, he was was an ancient king of Mesopotamia

If I remember my useless bible trivia correctly, Nebuchadnezzar rebuilt Babylon, hence the symbolism: Zion. If you expand this, you can predict the plot of the next movies.

And another thing... Nebuchadnezzar was the father of Belschazzar, who saw the "handwriting onthe wall." The matrix is linked into the bible in many, many ways, and the names Zion, Morphius, Nebuchadnezzar are all Biblical terms. By the way, there are a lot of sites here at eeggs that go into more detail about that.

For all you bible buffs on this string. The name of the hover craft is Nebuchadnezzar. Zion is the name of the last Human City on Earth. Is this a reference to the bondage of the Jews and subsequent exodus much as the human race is in bondage to the machines and is poised for its exodus? Can you say Sequel? Here is the actually history. 1,280 BC Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt 1,000 BC David, king of Israel, captures Jerusalem and makes it the capital of Israel 587 B.C. Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylonia captures Jerusalem 586 BC Jews held captive in Babylon 581 BC Nebuchadnezzar II burns Jerusalem 539 BC Cyrus the Great of Persia conquers Babylonia absorbing Babylon into the Persian empire and frees the Jews (Babylonian Diaspora)

Morpheus has nothing to do with the Bible. He was a son of the Greek god Somnus, the god of dreams. Morpheus was the son who was the best at mimicking men, while his brother Phantasos imitated scenery, and Icelos imitated animals. (I got this from my copy of Bulfinch's "Myths of Greece and Rome")

I'll have to agree w/ Crow, Nebudchanezzar doesn't really seem to make sense for a ship name. Are the Wachowski bros. THAT subtle? Don't go overboard in looking for patterns. Even if you watch static, after a while you'll think, "Hey, that's a duck!" or something like that. I'm sure the Wachowski brothers used references from the Bible, but not that extreme. And if you REALLY must know everything about ol' Nebby, check a Bible. Generic history books usually skim over specific kings during Bible times. - He was king of the <*BABYLONIANS*>. If you want a brief history, here it is. - Sacked Jerusalem (I think. Anyway, that's not too important) - Appointed Daniel as adviser - According to the Bible, he grew too arrogant, and God turned him insane. He lived like a wild beast for three years, eating grass and so on, until he realized his mistake and humbled himself before God. God gave him the generic wisdom-n'-peaceful reign package. Would YOU name YOUR hovership after a king that went insane for three years? I think they forgot about the Bible in the Matrix future and just went with something they pulled out of their arse. "Nebudchanezzar" is definitely a name you wouldn't forget. Sounds cool, too.

This is what one King Nebuchadnezzar has done in the past. By the way the words that are spelled with spaces inbetween, are to assure that you get the facts, and spell check doesn't take them out. A rebellion by the kingdom of J u d a h led to destruction of Jerusalem. Soldiers captured in the fighting along with eighty or so citizens, were put to death before King Nebuchadnezzar. The rebel leader, Z e d e k i a h , was forced to watch his sons murdered before his own eyes. The rest of the population of Jews were forced to re-settle in Babylon. The city was then almost totally destroyed.

bcheetah, Dude, your Western Civilization course is worthless if is says that Nebuchadnezzer was the king of Persia. Nebuchadnezzer was the ruler of Babylon not Persia as you claim. Cyrus was the ruler of Persia and he was the one responsible for diverting the Euphrates to a nearby lake allowing them to cross the river and walk into Babylon whose gates were open while a large party was going on. Of course at the time of this happening Nebuchadnezzer was dead and it was actually Nabonidus who was on the throne via a rebellion but who had left his son Belshazzar to tend the throne while he was away (actually at this point Nabonidus had been defeated by the Medes and Persians on their way to conquest Babylon).

This brings you to the second access panel and you have to type in a 32 digit binary code. I have no idea what it is and hopefully someone else will figure it out.
