Have you noticed that "October Sky" is an anagram of "Rocket Boys"? "Rocket Boys" is the name of the original book that this movie was based upon. The new name makes sense, too, since they first saw Sputnik in the October Sky. How clever! I thought that this was a great piece of trivia...
