I'm Only Sleeping (The Beatles) Easter Egg - Yawning

I don't remember the exact spot, I think it's right below the 3 minute mark, John says "Yawn Paul" about 4 seconds later, he does! And the yawn can be plainly heard. If someone wants to find out the exact time, email me and I'll try to figure it out

Actually the voice is not John's, it's probably Ringo's. The comment comes from the rhythm track not John's vocal track. Anybody disagree? Nicely spotted, though.

According to "The Beatles Sessions" it is on the rhythm track and it's Engineer Norman Smith---at least that's what Paul claims

I have the cd version and I have two things to say: First, this happens near the two minute mark (the song ends before three minutes). Second, I can hear the yawn clearly put I can find no sign of John, Ringo, Norman Smith, or anybody else telling Paul to yawn.

I also tried the CD version using Audio-Technica ATH-AD10 (great headphones) and could not pick up the instruction, only the actual yawn. Unfortunately my turntable is inoperable, so I cannot compare the CD to the original vinyl I have buried in the closet.

If you have this track on mp3, and have WinAmp or another mp3 player then go to 1:56 on the song, and put all the bars on the graphic equalizer down to zero except for the 1kHz bar (the 5th from the left). At this point you should be (just) able to hear some dialogue. This could be the "Yawn Paul" referred to above.

I'll have to agree with The Neurotic Feline. I too have heard paul yawning, but no evidence of anyone else in the band telling him to do so

listen between 1:54 and 1;57 and you hear a voice just before the end of the rhythm and bass comes in. then a few seconds later you can hear paul
