Trainspotting Easter Egg - Shallow Grave's Dead Lodger

Is this the origin of the mysterious lodger in Shallow grave?

The drug dealer who buys the drugs off the four "heroes" in the London hotel room is played by the same actor (Keith Allen) who played the dead lodger in shallow grave.

Nothing remarkable in that, however he is wearing the same clothes in both films, the lodger in shallow grave is obviously connected with the underworld and the case the money is carried in is the same in both films.

I saw an interview with Keith Allen in which he said that it was an extra reason for casting him in Trainspotting, as it gave a reason for him having the suitcase full of money in Shallow Grave.

Ewan McGregor was the star of both those movies. I bet he had something to do with it
