Little Mermaid, The (Disney) Easter Egg - Nasty Cover addendum

The PO'd artist also left his mark with the design of the original movie poster. In the original poster, prince Eric has his crotch area hidden behind the rock, and Ariel's eyes seem to be locked onto it. His hand also goes down behind the rock, leading to his crotch. It's pretty suggestive.

The egg is only on the original movie poster, it has been fixed by a new artist on all of the new covers to the movie.

I hate to rain on your under-water parade, but after checking you up on this, I can not agree with your statements. If you figure the angle of Ariel's gaze and use a straight-edge, you will see that is points to the top of Sebastian's head. Also, the Prince's hand, if you finish drawing him, rest half-way up his upper leg. Beleave what you wish, but if you do a little work, you will see differently.

I also agree with ThETa. And anyway the design of the original movie poster had Ariel looking over at Flounder and prince Eric looking down at Sebastian. His hand, if the rock was not in the way, would actually hang down an inch above the bottom of the rock. That is about a foot away from his crotch. That p*nis in the tower is there but Prince Eric "getting off" is not. Jayce you are such a perv. ThETa is right about Ariel's gaze also. Her gaze would actually come to rest on Sebastian's eyes.

Sorry, I can't be put to blame as a "perv" for this one. Check out snopes.com for the scoop. I was just repeating what they said there. (And to all of you who wrote me flame mail, I hope you're happy to know it's in a nice happy place in the recycle bin)

Ariel is looking at Sebastian, not at Eric's crutch. But I must say, it does look like Flounder is staring at Ariel's bust.

I agree with ThETa because if you look closely enough, you can see that Eric's right leg is bent like he is resting his leg on the rock. His knee is about level with the middle of his arm, so he couldn't be getting off.

Ariel is staring at sebastion(sp?) and I agree with Sarah, flounder looks like hes staring at her breasts, not her face...

Look, all this crap about disgruntled employees is an excuse for everything. don't be so naive. The artist decide to make the tower look like a p*nis for a joke and when he posted it to the editors they didn't seem to mind, maybe they thought it was funny, maybe they just didn't notice. who cares? It's there along with many other eggs mentioned and that's what matters

The Eric Crotch thing has been noted false...And as far as Flounder and Ariel's chest? He's looking at Eric...follow the gaze. If you want to stop flounders gaze at her chest, what about King Triton's and Ursula's gaze at her crotch? come on people. Let's not defile the cover even more than the p*nis, and the words "F*** You" in the waters spray.

Okay. Lots of people have said lots of things about this and what is actually on the cover. Hey, if you think it's there, it's gonna be there. If you have a sick mind, it's gonna be there. If you refuse to believe it, it won't be there!

Why would Disney put sex-related things in their movies?!? Face it, anyone who notices all these things need to grow up. These were totally conincedences!! My gosh!

its a messed up thing that someone would put this on the cover of a children's movie but if you aren't looking for it you won't find it
