Fallout 3 Easter Egg - Movie Reference - Them!

The sidequest Those! is a reference to the cult b-movie from the 50's called Them!, which was about giant ant created after atomic bomb testing. This fits in with the Fallout theme, of a 50's styled post-war wasteland. The quest itself is about fire breathing ants accidently created by a scientist.

Where as your egg is "technically" true, The Misfits song was based on the 1954 movie "Them!" which is about giant Irradiated ants. Therefore, I would postulate that the egg is referencing the film, and not the song. Also, the Quest line is called "Those!" not "Them!"

You've got things a little backwards Actually the quest is called "Those!" (I'm literally playing that quest right now, the game is paused so I can make this comment) It is a reference to the 1954 monster movie "Them!" which had giant mutated ants. (great flick by the way!!!) The Misfits song "Them!" is a tribute to the same 1954 movie.

Them! refers to the 1954 Science fiction film of the same name - a film about ants that had mutated to giant size after atomic bomb tests in 1945. The Misfits song probably also refers to this film.
