Simpsons, The Easter Egg - King of the Hill Characters

At one point in the episode where Bart plays football, they score a goal, and there's a family that it goes to which the father says "We drove 15 miles for this?" This family is the family from King of the Hill, which is another show from 20th Century Fox. And also, the 15-mile thing is the approximate distance between both towns that the shows are set in.

This is totally not an egg. This is a joke. Most people who watch the Simpsons know who these characters are. Also, the cities are not 15 miles away. While KOTH takes place in Texas, the Springfield state has not been revealed.

Actually I'm pretty sure that Springfield is in Ohio, Zanda.

Zanda Rag writes:
No, it might not be, Morph. They never say this, and the name of the town was chosen because there are Springfields in over 30 states, including the capital of Illinois. In one episode, they said it was in Northern Kentucky, though the episode was non-canon, like one of the Halloween episodes. The environment most closely matches Oregon (which, by the way, is pronounced "O-reh-GAHN".
