Pink Floyd's The Wall Easter Egg - Reference to "The Final Cut"

Toward the end of the movie, when Pink is in the bathroom stall, he starts to sing "Your Possible Past" on Pink Floyd's The Final Cut, an album released two years later.

I listened to this a couple of times and compared it with the written lyrics. It sounds similar but unfortunately it is not the same. In the movie, Pink says "...the ones who were pointing the guns at our backs" which sounds very similar to the lyrics, "gold in their bags or the knives in their backs."

They do make a good point, even if they changed the lyrics a little bit. Some of the songs from the movie differ slightly from those on the album of the same name. Also, the song "when the tigers broke free" from The Final Cut album (1983) plays at the beginning scene which depicts Pinks father at war, although the movie came out in 1982.
