Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Easter Egg - Punk on the Bus

The punk rocker on the bus was Kirk Thatcher, an associate producer. He also wrote and performed the song played on the boombox. I also believe that he helped design the dinosaurs from the Henson 'Dinosaurs' show.

You are correct, acording to the Star Trek Encyclopedia. As for finding it, I would love an MP3 too.

Supposedly the actor is related to Margaret Thatcher, the ex-PM. And the band which recorded the song is called "Edge of Etiquette".

I doubt he's related to Margaret *Roberts* :P. Though it would be interesting if he were related to her husband Denis Thatcher...WORLDS apart. :)
