That's just silly. Plenty of red crowbars existed before Half-life, plus the two games were made pretty much concurrently by completely different companies.

Almost all crowbars are red & white. They are commonly made from iron so they are coated with an oxide paint (which is red) the working ends are then dipped in a magnesium-oxide paint to harden the tips to prevent wear and rust ( which is light grey/white)
