Spice World Easter Egg - The Boy in the Hospital

Near-ish the end of the movie, the girls stop by a hospital. A mother (I'm pretty sure it was his mother..) sees the girls and ask them to come see her son. The little boy in the hospital is named Malcolm and is in a coma as a result of a really bad car accident. The girls start singing (?) and Malcolm wakes up. Then the girls rush off to their concert.
In real life, that accident happened in a small town in BC, Canada. Malcolm was in elementary school and nearly died. He was a MASSIVE fan of the Spice Girls, so he wrote to them with his story, expecting a signed photo. They sent him the photo and even put a character in the movie for him.
