What's The Frequency, Kenneth? (R.E.M.) Easter Egg - Guitar Solo

In the clip for What's the Frquency,Kenneth? by R.E.M. there are some intersting things to notice about Peter Buck's guitar solo. The solo is actually a backwards solo on the recording - Peter never plays it live the same way twice. As a little nod to this, the video at that point is actually running backwards. Also, he is using Kurt Cobain's guitar which is left-handed. Peter is right handed. For the majority of the video he can be seen playing the guitar re-strung and "upside down" to suit his right hand. However in the backwards guitar solo he is playing the guitar left handed! However the image has been laterally inverted so it looks as though he's playing right-handed. The proof of this is that Peter wears a silver skull ring on his right hand - his "strumming" hand. But in the solo that ring can clearly be seen on his "left" hand - i.e. the hand he is using to press the strings on the neck of the guitar.

Peter was not wearing any other rings at this time. He was divorced and had yet to re-marry (around 1994)
