Call of Duty: United Offensive Easter Egg - Half-Life Reference

In the second mission of the American campaign (The first night mission), if you look at the names of your comrades you should see a Private Gordon and a Private Freeman. This may be a reference to the characters in Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

Freeman is only significant because Private Freeman is standing right next to Private Gordon, and Gordon Freeman is a more unique name combination used in Half-Life and Half-Life 2. The significance is them both popping up together (within two feet of each other during the briefing)
