Also, the artist has hidden his unmistakable signature on ALL the covers, sometimes they're hard to find, sometimes they're easy, but it gives you something fun to do when your done reading the book.

StrangeJohn: In Tim Jacobus' autobiography (It Came From New Jersey!) he says, "They're all wearing the same sneakers -- my favorite sneakers in the world -- Converse All Stars (hightops, of course)" (p35). So FA! Don't jump to cynical foregone conclusions. tomgreen: here are some Goosebump book numbers that show characters wearing the All Star shoes: 4,10,29,36,39,44,45,48,52. Go to the library or the bookstore and check it out!

Also, in the books, you'll notice that most of the dads in the book are balding with black hair and glasses. This is what R.L. Stine looks like in real life.

On the Book #7 Under The Magicians Spell ( choose your own adventure) the boy on the cover has GREEN SNEAKERS. Just wanted to point that out. But on the other ones I checked, they are red.

In the one where the Librarian eats flies, sorry but I don't have the English name of it right now and I'm too lazy to go check on the closet now :), the Librarian is the bad guy (not a dad) yet he is bald with black hair and clear eyes.

Trp, you are sadly mistaken... Any artist leaves his or her signature on their art, regaurdless on where it is. A signature is not an egg.

Really? I'll have to check that out. And yes, it is true that in The Girl Who Cried Monster, Mr. Mortman does look like that on the cover. Black hair, balding, and glasses.
