Metal Gear Solid 2 (Playstation 2) Easter Egg - Iriquois Pliskin

When Snake is forced to make up a name for himself, he chooses "Iriquois Pliskin". It's a wierd name, but it's also an Easter Egg.

Iriquois means "Snake", so that's covered, but what about Pliskin? This is actually from the movies "Escape From New York", and "Escape from LA". The main character of both of these movies' name was Snake Plissken. I guess Kojima was a fan, eh?

Solid Snake is based on Snake Plissken, Hideo said it himself.

This is not that well hidden - when Snake reveals he was Iroquois Plissken. there is a LONG conversation about it. Raiden says he gets the Plissken part but is confused about the Iroquois. Snake says that "Iroquois" is the word for snake in the iroqois language (not 100% - it's been a while since I was at that stage).
