Cosby Show, The Easter Egg - Designer of Theo's Shirt

In epsiode 5, where Theo goes and buys a $95 shirt for his date with Christine, the brand of the shirt is a Gordon Gartrelle. If you look in the credits at the beginning of the show, Gordon Gartrelle is also a writer and a producer (1991-1992)of The Cosby Show. Maybe Mr. Gartrelle should have opened up a clothing store for a second job!

This is a common egg, since TV shows and movies can't use real life brand names unless they have an advertising contract, they have to make up their own brand names, usually the brand names are derived from the director or other stagehands of the show or movie, like the TV show Drake & Josh (on Nickelodeon), there are places like the Shnider (Spelling?) Bakery next to the Premere Theatre
