Halloween H2O Easter Egg - To the Beckers!

When Laurie/Keri tells John and Molly to leave in the car without her she says "drive down to the Becker's."
This is a take from Scream (Kevin Williamson wrote Scream and was involved in the writing of H2O), when Casey BECKER is murdered her dad tells his wife to "drive down to the McKenzie's", a take from the first Halloween (which Wes Carpenter also directed) in which the exact same line is used.

First of all, Kevin Williamson had very little to do with the writing of H2O, he basically gave a storyline for it. his main job was co-executive producer of the movie. Secondly there is no such person as Wes Carpenter. There is a Wes Craven and a John Carpenter; two separate people. Wes Carpenter was just a clever joining of names of two of horrors greatest directors and to add a humorous touch to the movie.

Well you'll get none from us. 'Wes Carpenter' was the name Tatum said in Scream (as an in-joke) to Sidney on the porch. Casey's father said "Drive to the McKenzie's", Jamie Lee Curtis (in H20) said "Drive to the Becker's" and in Halloween she said "Down the road to the McKenzie's". A three way movie link, see? Oh, and Kevin Williamson did write a treatment for Halloween H20 which ended up heavily influencing the final film. So there.

I always knew in H20 that there was something about that scene where she tells John to drive to the Beckers...i always thought Jamie Lee told him to drive to the Mackinzies, then i watched it a while ago and she said Beckers...This does clear things up...Thanks

The Becker's connection is probably no more than a nod to the fact that Beckers is a large chain of convenience stores in Ontario. Toronto has several dozen and northern Ontario(wgere the first one was shot)is sure to have one. Anyonewho has been in small townsknows that convenience stores there sell a greater variety of stuff than in a city such items as masks Hmmmm.
