Rush Hour Easter Egg - Jackie's Hidden Goodies

There are at least two major eggs, but many smaller more obscure ones. On either the VHS tape or DVD of Rush Hour in wide-screen format, there are three hidden references to Jackie's family and personal information. In the scene where Chris Tucker picks Jackie up in the black Corvette, and Jackie mutely shows Chris
the business card of the Chinese Consulate's house, the address on the card (on Rexford Dr) was the rented house Jackie was staying in while filming in Los Angeles. The house and address appeared in the fan club newsletter sent to the members in Hong Kong during the filming. Inside was the layout, address and outside street sign.

The second one appears when Chris stops at the little food store to get something to eat, while handcuffing Jackie to the steering wheel. Outside the store is an old Chinese man smoking a pipe, this can only be seen on the wide-screen version as the pan and scan version cuts it out. That old man is Charles Chan, Jackie's father.

Also, the two people that stop and ask Jackie directions to Roscoes Chicken and Waffles was a nod to both Jackie and Chris Tucker, that restaurant was used by Chris in his film with Charlie Sheen, and the two people stopping Jackie are Osumi (his secretary) and her husband.

Trevor Moses writes:
Elsewhere on this disc (in Chapter 4, I believe) director Brett Ratner hid an early short film of his, called "Evil Luke Lee". I was just told this, and have not seen it with my own eyes.
