Grosse Point Blank Easter Egg - I Want My $2

At the beginning of Grosse Point Blank, Martin (John Cusak's character) shoots and kills a newspaper delivery boy. This is in reference to the paper boy who tortures him with the cry of "I want my two dollars!!" in Better off Dead, which also starred John Cusak.

Uhm... No. Not only are you REALLY stretching calling that guy a "newspaper-boy", but it's pretty obvious in the film that if he's trying to be anything OTHER than an assassin on a ten-speed, MAYBE he'd be a bike-messenger.

Or, maybe, just a bicycle enthusiast. Tee hee.

Actually any one on a bike would be a legitimate reference. I think it's just a very subtle easter egg.

No Egg. Remember the guy he's trying to protect gets killed anyways? When he's having the phone conversation with his employer, he has the line "I was paid for 1 Assassin! The guy on the bike. You said nothing about the other guy!" You're stretching here.

no egg, methinks however, if they had actually used the same dude from better off dead, the creepy $2 kid, that would have been fantastic
