Led Zeppelin IV (Led Zeppelin) Easter Egg - Demon

1) Open the cover. Inside is a picture of an old man standing on a hill overlooking a village.
2) Place the inside picture against the mirror with the old man's back toward the mirror.
3) The old man (and his reflection) are the horns of the demon.

This may not work with the CD (haven't checked the Re-Mastered cover yet) because the hill isn't in the original CD.

The picture of the old man on the hill is indeed in the CD booklet of the remastered version of Led Zep 4. Great CD, too.

If you place the bottom of the hill against the mirror, you'll see a big serpent head. I used to know about a lot of hidden stuff on both sides of this cover, but lost track of them.

That "old man on the hill" is The Hermit (card IX) from the Rider-Waite tarot deck, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith under the direction of Dr. Arthur Edward Waite. Nothing happens when you hold the actual card to the mirror.

The pieces in the mountain create 2 pictures (that I know of). They are difficult to see, but when you finally see them, they are easy to spot. If you hold the right edge of the album up to the mirror, look below the old man, the reflection creates two sides of the face of what looks to be a demon or a goat. On the left side of the mountain, along the slope, one can make out the profile of a man who looks an awful lot like paintings of Christ. It is pretty big, and you uses many pieces of the mountain to create the profile.

Notice the little white goat on the hill at the bottom... white goats are critical in occult practices (as are white roosters).

Seems some peolple have nothing better to do with their time than to invent silliness out of nothing. Personally, I really enjoy listening to Zeppelin without thought toward demons, sacrificial barnyard animals or a variety of other nonsense. Major bet that Jimmy Page wouldn't give a rats cracker about Alastair Crowley these days, so why should we?
