EP 7 (Autechre) Easter Egg - Hidden Track

If you play ep7 from the beginning, then rewind it back to about 9 minutes or so, you will hear the hidden track. It sounds pretty much like a swirly synth tune. A hidden track at the end of a CD is now rather commonplace, but this is the first time I've come across a hidden track actually before the first track.

Putting tracks on the beginning of the song is actually a copy protection used by Sony (and now more & more companies). If you would try to put the cd in a conventional music ripper (eg audiograbber, eAc ...) with a pre-intro track, the ripper would say that there is an illegal track and therefore cannot rip the whole cd... Of course, everybody now knows of the "taping the edge" trick to avoid rip-problems, but that doesn't fix the whole backup issue...
