Canon Printers Easter Egg - Music

While the printer is on, simply press the paper feed button (the one next to the power button) on the top of the printer and hold it in for about 5 seconds (until the music starts playing) It will then play a short bit of music, and print an internal demo page.

This only seemed to work on the Canon BJC-5100 inkjet printer, not on all canon printers.

The Canon BJC 4550 makes sounds by its printing head drive during initialization which sound like the German christmas carol "Ihr Kinderlein kommet"

I tried this on my BJC-2000 and it just kinda buzzed, clicked, and made some UHF sounds for a minute and a half.

Okay, this is not really an egg. Many printers and fax machines will do this. It is a test, which will allow you to check out the ink tanks and for some clean the heads, show you an print sample of what the machine can do, etc.

Also, if you hit it 5 times with a 6 inch hammer, then drop it on a blue carpet from a hight of 1 meter, it explodes!

First of all LOL SNOOPY. Second I just wanted to tell people that my canon printer doesn't do some stupid music thing when i press the paper feed button. Maybe its broke. Maybe I should sue canon, or get it replaced with with my waranty. Or maybe, I should just try to print stuff with it, cuz thats what MOST (not all) printers are supposed to do. P.S. if there is someone out there who is actually pathetic enough to try to make a printer sing, I would like their autograph, cuz i might be able to sell it to NERDS WEEKLY MAGAZINE.

No, it does not work on any of the 200 series BJC's, or rather, it just sounds like a regular modem handshake.
