Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace Easter Egg - C-3PO's Skin

1.In Watto's Junkshop look behind the actors at the stuff strewn about.
2.Propped up against a wall is a 3PO skin with a missing leg from the knee down.
3.In "A New Hope" C-3PO has one silver leg from the knee down. It would be probable that Anakin got his skin for 3PO from Watto's junk shop. It's a really cool item to spot.

This has to be some coincidence, because that is just crazy. I doubt he would have thought of this, but everyone knows the mind of George Lucas works in odd ways.

Well, I think that he just thought about it later, or maybe C3P0 originally had silver skin, but George decided to change it, and leave one part silver to make it look repaired, then took the original skin and put it in the movie, and then... :my head exploded

I think that if we all just wait for the next two movies to come out we will be able to verify the C-3PO issue... But just for the record, I think this is an egg and I don't think it would be very hard to think of something like that, I mean he DID create the movie, this is George Lucas we're talking about! I dunno we'll see.

According to the re-release of episode 4-6 box set, the silver leg was done on purpose to show that Anakin made C3PO out of spare parts he found in the junk yard....

Hold on a min... the screenshot shows 3PO's left leg is missing, but it's his right leg that ends up being silver.

lancer whatre you smoking? both his legs are there but his left one is silver (correct me if im wrong i have bad short time memory :p) Off the subject, was c-3po owned by wedge antilles during the time anakins mother dies and then when luke gets him from the jawas? Yeah I think wedge gave it to the alliance during that time too cause in ANH theyre operating on leia's corellian..

Ok, people. WEDGE Antillies did not own C-3PO. The Captain of the Tantive IV (Leia's Blockade Runner) was also named "Antillies", but is no relation to Wedge. C-3PO calles Capt. Antillies "Master" because he is the captain of the ship that they are assigned to.

You're egg is hatched the Skin Is quite clearly visible with both legs until Jar Jar hits the pitt bot then he gets knocked over and looks like only one leg. This photo of only one leg is after that event and has been posted on web-sites.

It may not be him, but there is a shot in the third trailer of C-3PO and his skin looks dark, like it's made out of some kind of black metal.

You've definitely caught onto something. You'll probably see this come up in Episode 2 or 3.
