In the episode where Mulder is walking through the plaza and he's going to meet Scully in a room. If you look carefully, you can see Dave Grohl, singer and guitarist from the band, The Foo Fighters. Be quick, because he is only there for about 3 seconds. He is walking with his wife, Jennifer Youngblood-Grohl. He got onto the show because he is friends with Chris Carter.

OK, but which episode is it? At least the season, please. I know The X-Files almost by heart... *almost*... ;)))))

Drummer From Foo Fighters????????? Whoa Man, Dave Plays More than the Drums Now. He plays Guitar and Also Sings.

His name is spelled Grohl and he is not the drummer for the Foo Fighters. He plays the guitar and sings (with the exception of their first album on which he played every instrument). Taylor Hawkins is the Foo Fighters drummer.

Once again, Dave isn't the drummer from the Foo Fighters. He used to be the drummer of Nirvana, but now is the singer / guitarist / front man of the Foo Fighters.

Yes the episode featured is Season 3, Episode 17, and is called pusher, the scene is 20min 30seconds into the episode, and is where the guy 'pusher' is entering the FBI building, just before he goes through the metal detector. Grohl is in centre screen and wearing a green bomber jacket, long hair and looking quite young. Ohh and just to clear some things up Dave Grohl, used to be the drummer in Nirvana, and is now the lead singer, front man, guitarist for the foo fighters. He also did the drumming for the Queens of the Stone Age's album 'songs for the deaf' (check out no one knows), and appears as the devil in the tenacious D video for 'Tribute' aka 'the greatest and best song in the world'. Hope this helps

In the X-files Episode Zero-Sum (Season 4), A.D. Skinner is fingering through files in Mulder's office. On one of the files in the background is "Foo Fighters" written on the tab of the file. I caught is subconsciously the first time. Then when I rewound it and paused, I saw it clearly.
