X-Files Motion Picture Soundtrack Easter Egg - Conspiracy Explained (the Truth at 10:13)

Go past the last song on the CD and fast forward until you hit ten minutes and thirteen seconds (this is Chris Carter's birthdate and a regular theme on the show)
Carter's voice will come on and will explain the entire history of the X-Files conspiracy (black oil, alien colonists, etc.) Intersesting even if you're not an X-Files fan, but incredible if you are.

It's not only an Easter Egg, it's an easter egg within an Easter Egg. Carter's expanation starts at track 14 (Dust Bros. XF theme remix), at time 10:13.

In case people don't know what's so special about 10:13, it's Chris Carters birthday!

just wanted to say that finding the number 1013 somewhere in Chris Carter related productions isn´t anything new. He even called his production company that. But keep on looking and counting times, telephone numbers, codes, room numbers etc. if you wish.

Also, a Friday the 13th in October is mysterious. In other words, 10-13 being a Friday is unusual.

Wasn't there a Friday the 13 in October this past year of 2000?

Yup. What's even weirder about 10/13/2000 was that it was a full moon...

Just look at a calendar or diary you lazy bastards and you will see October 13 was indeed a Friday. What the hell has a Leap-Year got to do with it? I thought you added a day to Feb not take one from the middle of October!!

No, Chris Carter's wife's birthday is 11/21. check out the clocks on some of the shows; sometimes it's 10:13 or 11:21, but not all the time. I'm pretty sure most of you know this already though.

October the 13 was indeed a Friday, and here in Denmark we had a full moon too. Try setting the year back in the Windows clock thingy to 2000, then select October for month. :)

YOU ARE ALL WRONG!!!! When you bought the album, you should have seen a sticker on the front saying something like "includes tracks by "Bjork", Sting(etc)" then at the bottom of the sticker it said "hear the truth revealed at 10:13" 10:13 is the time on the CD player when the voice starts on the track. ALSO "ten thirteen productions" are the company who make the x files! At the end of every x files episode, do you not see their logo, with the sound of a little boy saying: "I MADE THIS" ?

Hey, wait a second, why are we talking about Chris Carter's birthday, if the easter egg was about a conspiracy explanation?

My album never had a sticker on it. I didn't think any of them did, I figured it was an Easter egg that you were supposed to find.

Hey... That is really crazy stuff... if there was ever a movie on my life here would be the egg to look for... I am obsessed with the X-Files, and there is alot of stuff that has to do with 10/13... which is my Birthday!!! Ok time for me to shut up now... *FYI-- for the bottom two ppl on this list, yes there was a Friday the 13th in the year 2000. It was also a full moon. There will not be another full moon on Friday, October 13th for 15 years.*

For those of you with Technics or Marantz CD players, you may like to try this: At the start of the CD, hit the pause button. Then search back beyond the start of track one. You should find two hidden Nick Cave songs, totalling about nine minutes' worth. The clue on the sleeve reads, "Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds would like you to know that 0 is also a number". This type of egg is more common than one might think, however only CD players that are not built to Philips Red Book standards (i.e. Technics) are able to perform this feat. I believe that there are similar truly hidden tracks on Oasis' Heathen Chemistry CD, David Gray's White Ladder and an old Willie Nelson album, the name of which excapes me - but apparantly he rants on about his treatment at the hands of the I.R.S. All good clean fun!
