Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace Easter Egg - The Ewok Crusade

In the very first establishing shot of Mos Espa, you can see an Ewok dressed as Indiana Jones (the hat is unmistakeable!) in the far left of the screen, running and hiding behind one of the buildings. The same Ewok reappears, for a split second, one or two shots right after Jar Jar steps on the poop.

There is an ewok in the scene but I'm afraid he IS NOT dressed as Indiana Jones!!! You can see him walk from the left of the screen to the right behind Qui-Gon & Co. as they enter Mos Espa.

What you're seeing is something that you think is an Ewok and want to be an Ewok. It's like the whole hanging munchkin conspiracy in the Wizard of Oz. Hey, might be real....I don't know, but it could also be anything else. Have you seen how many creatures were in the movie? For those who still don't know where this is, it's in the shot where Qui-Gon says, "...moisture farms for the most part..." It's a little black thing that runs behind him and the others as they walk toward the camera. But there's so much other stuff going on it's hard to tell.

There's an ewook in the senate too, right before the "vote" chant of the members. Its behind the queen. You can even hear the sound of them!!!
